What end of the funnel do you travel?

Looking at a funnel, there are two ways something could pass through. The wide end; the easiest to pass through, and the narrow end, this end takes a steadfast hand.

Looking at life from a non Christian, the person looks around and sees life as a big open world, like the top of a funnel. Worldly things to see and do but as this person gets older the open world starts to close in and get narrower, soon they reach a point where they ask themselves “is it worth it, what have I gained?”

A Christian enters their new life from the narrow end. The person feels as if they have to give up a lot to walk the narrow path. Their friends might have left them; they feel the joys of the world are not what they seek so this person walks the narrow road. But soon, if the person stays with the Lord, and follows this trail of Salvations, they will find that there is a bigger world with more to live for even when life in this body is over.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:13-14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

As for those who come to Christ and understand the narrow end, there is nothing but joy for the future, and even abundant life for the here and now. Because we fix our eyes on the future Kingdom. In doing so, He gives us all we need here as well...
